Most people quit guitar in the first month because they were handed scales and sore fingers. My students play a real song in lesson one. I teach with a system I built — the Guitar Alphabet System — that gets the fretboard to make sense instead of feeling like a memory test. Ten minutes a day beats an hour on Sunday. Pick It Back Up →Honest answer: the one they'll actually pick up. Ukulele is the easiest yes — soft strings, small hands welcome, playing songs in weeks. Piano builds the strongest foundation. Guitar is the one they'll beg for eventually anyway. Bring them by and we'll figure it out together in one lesson — no pressure, no contract.
